ISO
Technical Committee TC 130 "Graphic Technology" of ISO (www.iso.org) has standards relating to many aspects of printing, including prepress data exchange (PDF/X and TIFF/IT), viewing conditions, and measuring and test methods. ERA has liaison status with TC 130.

Of particular interest for gravure is ISO 12647-4 Graphic technology  Process control for the production of half-tone colour separations, proof and production prints  Part 4: Publication gravure, which is undergoing final balloting procedures prior to publication.

Other areas of standardisation are being dealt with by special interest groups such as ECI, the Ghent PDF Workgroup, and the ERA Packaging Colour Management Group, until there is sufficient practical experience and international consensus for their results to be brought to the ISO committee.
