The ERA has started to establish a regular forum for the European decorative gravure industry. The latest meeting took place in Wiesbaden, Germany on 22 June 2005, attended by several major decorative printers from all over Europe and their suppliers. Technical and environmental issues of common interest such as the EU 'REACH' directive for chemicals, developments in cylinder engraving, impression rollers and decorative gravure presses, and standardisation parameters and tolerances for base papers, were presented and discussed.
